A rabbit, a fish, a dog.

This capsule collection features abstract animals made with dozens of layers of scraped, high flow, acrylic paint and mixed media highlights. Each of the canvases is elaborated with a thick, textural border meant as a little wink - a contemporary take on the characters and illustrations found in the pages of our beloved childhood story books. My inspiration for these pieces comes from the way my daughter colors her pictures - switching from crayon to crayon willy nilly, free as a bird.
